Raising a Park
Let's build a beautiful park! A committee has been formed to enhance the Holcomb Comminuty Park in the Northwest part of Holcomb. BPI has offered to match funds raised up to $25,000. Imagine, kids and families being able to have picnics, play basketball, play on the playground, and enjoy the walking path. This is our opportunity to make an improvement to our community. The Holcomb Recreation Commission is dedicated to providing a wide variety of leisure time opportunities and activities to enhance the quality of life for all citizens in our community.

Registering early for a program is essential to make it a success. If you see a program that you or your child will enjoy, sign up early. If there are not enough participants 2 days prior to the activity, it will be canceled.
HRC Gift Certificates
Need a gift for that hard to buy for person? Let us help. Holcomb Recreation Commission has gift certificates available for activities we sponsor including memberships to the Wellness Center. Stop by today and let us help you.
Scholarship Program
The Holcomb Recreation Commission wants to insure that no resident of our community is excluded from an opportunity to participate in the programs we provide due to the inability to pay. A system has been established using guidelines from the free and reduced school lunch program based on income standards utilized by U.S.D. #363. Those qualifying for "free" school lunches will pay a $5.00 fee for qualifying programs, those that qualify for reduced will pay 1/2 of the regular price. Programs under $5.00 are not qualifying scholarship programs. You must reside in the USD #363 boundaries. Director's Comments:
As 2007 comes to an end, we still have some great programs for the community to enjoy. HRC is very excited about our 6th Annual Christmas Festival. We have made some changes this year that will entertain children of all ages during the festival. Be sure to check out the details in this brochure and the flyers that will come home through the school.
I would like to take this time to Thank all the HRC staff that have worked so hard this year: Dan Knight-Wellness Director, Mike Stegman-Maintenance Supervisor, Nick Leon-Program Director, Stephanie Matheson-Administrative Assistant and all the Part Time Staff.
Looking ahead to 2008, we will be returning favorites from the past and adding new and exciting programs for the future. As always, we are looking for feedback on anything the community is interested in seeing the Holcomb Recreation offer.
HRC Board Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the board room.
