HRC is the location for Hunter's Safety Courses. Anyone born after July 1, 1957 must have a Hunter's Safety Card to hunt in Kansas. Class sizes are limited to 60, so sign up early to ensure the class date you choose will still be available. Must be 11 years old to take the course.

Dates: August 2nd & 3rd or October 18th & 19th
Times: Friday 6-10pm and Saturday 8am-6pm
(for both sessions)
Location: Both classes will be held at HRC, 106 Wiley in Holcomb
HRC has teamed up with USD #363 to bring After School Care to kids from K-6th grades. The program will consist of study time and a snack combined with a physical activity from 3:30pm - 5:45pm, Monday - Friday. Parents will be asked to fill out an enrollment form before their child may attend. The meeting and pick up place is the Holcomb Elementary Cafeteria.
(Sixth graders will be bused from the Middle School to Holcomb Elementary)

Activities will include but not limited to: Computer Lab, Homework Help, Sports, Nutrition Classes, Arts and Crafts, & Introduction to Fitness

Fee: $20 per week (scholarships available)

COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE
The 13th Annual Community Wide Garage Sale is set for June 15th (always on the 3rd Saturday of June). HRC will do the advertising for you in the Garden City Telegram and Lakin Times, as well as putting up general posters in the Holcomb and Deerfield areas. We will have the HRC Building open from 6:30-9:30am for buyers to come by for donuts & coffee, along with a booklet of all the participants, items they are selling, and a map with directions to each location. All sales will start at 7am and end when participants choose to close.

Fee: NO CHARGE
Deadline: To be in booklet, must register by June 7th

MOTORCYCLE RIDING COURSE
Lonewolf LLC, along with HRC, USD 363 and Garden City Power Sports will be offering the Nationally Certified Motorcycle Safety Foundation Riders School. The course includes a minimum of 8 hours of class instruction plus about 12 hours of practical riding on a closed course. A written and driving test is included. Bring your own cycle or use one of the cycles provided by Lonewolf. Classes will be once per month beginning in April and running through October.
